TPF AND JEDOX PLAN THE WORLD
The Planning Factory is porting it’s Impact Planner tool to the Jedox PALO Open Source OLAP tool. We plan to complete the process during Q2 2008. Eventually we plan to release an Open Source W.S.S.I. Planning tool over the internet with associated online training courses for developers, administrators and end users. Our goal is to create a global community of merchandise planners in retail organisations of all sizes and types.

SOYSAL WELCOMES TPF TO TURKEY
Turkish based training & consultancy company Soysal have partnered with TPF to provide Merchandise Planning Training and consultancy for the Turkish market.
RETAIL DAYS
In late November 2007 John Hobson presented two sessions on Merchandise Planning theory and practice at the Soysal “Perakende Gunleri - Retail Days” conference in Istanbul. This conference attracted over 3,000 delegates.
JEWSON CARRY ON BUILDING
Builders’ merchants Jewson have decided to extend the use of TM1 to further areas of the business. TPF will assist them in extending their financial budgeting model. Jewson have been a client for 10 years now.
DOMINO PLANS FOR SUCCESS
Cambridge based Domino Printing Sciences are creating a TM1 based financial budgeting system with the help of TPF. The implementation, scheduled to take less than 20 days, will be complete in time for this year’s budgeting round.
LIWA GET INTRODUCED
In June 2007 Liwa Enterprises of Abu Dhabi invited John Hobson to present the “Introduction to Merchandise Planning” course for their brand managers and buyers. The 3 day event at the Sheraton Towers Resort Hotel in Abu Dhabi was a great success.
Liwa’s delegates will also spend time completing the on line course by way of reinforcement.

J SAINSBURY TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT TODAY
J Sainsbury have bought site licenses for Impact Planner for both their TU Clothing and General Merchandise Divisions. The GM implementation covers WSSI only, whilst the TU clothing system covers the entire Merchandise Planning process including Strategic Planning, WSSI, Channel Planning, Store Grading, Range & Assortment Planning to key line planning. Both systems will be live in 2007.
THE PLANNING FACTORY INTRODUCES E-LEARNING FOR MERCHANDISE PLANNING
Understanding Retail Merchandise Planning is a constantly evolving challenge. The Planning Factory has created a training course designed to give delegates a broad understanding of this demanding topic. The course is designed as an e-learning course delivered over the web, but you may wish to consider running it in-house.

FIGLEAVES UNCOVER THEIR ASSETS
Online retailer Figleaves.com has purchased the Applix TM1 modelling software from The Planning Factory in order to leverage their data assets. The Planning Factory will initially work with Figleaves on an SKU optimisation project. See press release for further details

ANOTHER ROUND?
Thresher Group have extended their use of TM1 to include a financial planning and reporting model to interface with the existing finance and merchandise planning systems. This complements the work already completed with Thresher in merchandise planning.

QUENCHING A THIRST FOR KNOWLEDGE
The Planning Factory has been selected by Thresher Group to design and deliver a TM1 based merchandise planning and reporting model to interface with the existing JDA system.
RIGHT FOOT FORWARD
Footwear retailer Kurt Geiger have completed installation of a TM1 based merchandise planning system interfacing with their NSB merchandising system. The solution provides integrated business planning by linking to their existing TM1 based financial budgeting system.
